GAP/GMP Programme

The National Food Safety Initiative is launched by FDA, USA in 1997. This is a safety standard which provides science based guidelines for reducing microbial food safety hazards in fresh produce. This food safety standard is applicable to all growers, packers, distributors, processors, cooling and cold storage operators. It also assists the growers to check the manufacturing process regularly and minimize the health risks.
