Narrative description  of Project:

KBR National Park located in the posh Jubilee hills and Banjara hills area of Hyderabad city was initially notified as a protected forest under section 24 of A.P  Forest Act 1967 vide GO. Ms No 22 Energy and forest department dt 3.2.194 and was names as Jubilee Hills Forest Block. Later on considering the ecological and biological significance as this is the only remaining natural ecosystem of Hyderabad, this area was notified as Jubilee Hills National Park. The national park was subsequently renamed as Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park in memory of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The total area of the national park is 142.50 ha. As part of the CSR activities of ITC limited, we are undertaking an ecological assessment for KBR National Park to identify the carbon footprint and ecological capacity of the parks. On the road of the assessment, biodiversity assessment and indexing of KBR national park is undergoing and preparation for carbon footprint assessment is on the line.

  •         Greenhouse  Gas Inventory for KBR National Park Hyderabad using principles of ISO 14064
