LCATS- LEGALITY CERTIFICATION FOR ALTERNATE TIMBER SPECIES.
The LCATS Shipment Certification devised by GIPL provides one stop solution to make sure that handicraft and furniture items are made up of timber species other than CITES spp. (Dalbergia), have been legally procured and due diligence system (DDS) has been exercised at each step of the supply chain. This shipment certificate applicable for all indigenous species other than CITES.
The process of verification and due diligence culminates in issuance of a single shipment certificate, which meets the requirements of international timber legality compliances like Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT); European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR); US Lacey Act Amendment 2008; and Australian Illegal Logging Prohibition Act, 2012.

To maintain the traceability of the certified product and avoid any risk of mixing in between, GICIA India Pvt. Ltd. (GIPL) has come up with Safewoodboard Shipment Certification (SSC) applicable to Traders, Retailers, Fabricators, etc.
Safewoodboard Shipment Certificate (SSC) aims to ensure that the shipment reaching to buyer contains certified material and no mixing has been done. A shipment certificate after verification for each order/shipment will be provided to the company.
